Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization utilizes another organization or organization(s) with direct responsibility for the care of horses to provide its services.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
KIPP builds a partnership among parents, students, and teachers that puts learning first. By providing outstanding educators, more time in school learning, and a strong culture of achievement, KIPP is helping all students climb the mountain to and through college.

KIPP offers a horseback riding team for middle and high school students. Through the Riding Team, students learn horse care; horsemanship; grooming and tacking; and equitation. Our practices emphasize teamwork, personal growth, and attention to the needs of the horse. As they develop their equestrian skills, students also deepen their connection to school, their empathy for others, and their commitment to their own futures.
