Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center has been established to better the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic equestrian activities. The Center provides the opportunity for each student to develop to his or her greatest potential. Through training and involvement of volunteers, Banbury Cross also hopes to strengthen understanding toward people with special needs.

Horse-related programs:
Banbury Cross TEC provides Therapeutic Riding Services to children and adults with cognitive, physical and emotional disabilities in southeastern Michigan. Our riders ride in 7-10 week sessions (Five sessions throughout the year)and special programs and events like our summer horse camp, our annual Horse Show and Open House and numerous events geared toward helping our riders achieve each of their independent goals. We also provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy for people with emotional disabilities.

Non-horse-related programs:
During our summer Horse Camp program, In addition to Therapeutic Riding classes, our riders engage in a multitude of challenging and fun activities involving crafts, outdoor experiences and physical challenges and games. We also have a daily "special guest" segment that introduces the riders to other animals that they may not have the opportunity to learn about in their daily lives.
