Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care of horses to provide its services.


Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
To improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of individuals and their families through threapeutic equestrian activities built on professionalism and trust with a focus on community education, communication and teamwork.


Volunteer Opportunities


Professional Skills
Bright Horizons always has need of individuals with specific professional skills. Of particular need are volunteers with financial, accounting, auditing, legal, administrative, event planning,grant writing and marketing.

Barn Help
General barn duties including stall cleaning, tack cleaning and maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning of viewing room, arena maintenance and other barn related tasks. No previous horse experience necessary

Horse Leader
Minimum Age: 14
Primary responsibility is the horse. Leaders generally have previous horse experience. Reponsible for tacking up before lesson and leading of horse during lessons.

Sidewalker
Minimum Age: 12
Primary responsibility is taking care of the rider. Depending on the level of need, a rider can require onr or two sidewalkers to assist them during their lesson. Helps keep rider centered and balanced on horse.
