Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
RideAbility is a Therapeutic Riding Program, Equine Facilitated Activity Program. Our mission is to offer a wide range of horse-related programs to children, adults and families with special needs to promote the physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. RideAbility serves riders with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Visual Impairments, Cognitively and Physically Challenges, Learning Disabilities, Hearing Impairments, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Emotional Disabilities, PTSD, Paralysis, Veterans with PTSD, Multiple Sclerosis, Sensory Integration Issues, ADHD, and Developmental Disabilities and others. Our goal is to improve the lives of children and adults with special needs through Facilitated Interaction with horses.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization conducts Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) in accordance with the EQUUS Foundation Guidelines on Qualifications of Organizations Conducting Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).
Our organization does not provide community outreach and/or public education programs involving horses.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of equines involved in our programs.
100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.
Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.
