Foundation Farm Signs On as Title Sponsor of Equestrian Idol to Benefit The EQUUS Foundation

WESTPORT, CT – January 12, 2010 – The EQUUS Foundation is pleased to announce that Foundation Farm will be the Title Sponsor for the upcoming Equestrian Idol Musical Talent Show on Friday, February 12, 2010, in Wellington, Florida. Casual chic will be the attire for this fun-filled evening at the International Polo Club, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., which will include a reception, auction, dinner, and a musical talent show performed and judged by equestrians.

“We are so pleased to have Foundation Farm as the Title Sponsor of our Equestrian Idol,” said Lynn Coakley, EQUUS Foundation President. Foundation Farm, located in Wellington, Florida, is owned by Visse Wedell and home base during the Winter Equestrian Festival for well-known hunter rider and trainer Lyman T. Whitehead.

The equestrian celebrity lineup includes judges Margie Goldstein-Engle, Leslie Howard, and Frank Madden with Mason Phelps, Jr. serving as the master of ceremonies. The competition will be fierce for returning performers, Dianna Bricker, Heather Caristo, Hillary Dobbs, Casey Hodges, Brian Lookabill, and Chad Watridge, and newcomers, Jordan LaPlaca, Colton Mason, and Rick Rockefeller-Silvia. Jen White Kane, 2009 Equestrian Idol, and Ki-Juan Minors, 2008 Equestrian Idol, will also perform for the audience. Guests can be assured of a lively evening along with great entertainment from the performers.

The EQUUS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) national charitable foundation, is dedicated to providing homes and useful lives for horses by funding programs for horse rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, retirement, therapeutic riding, equine-assisted activities and programs to elevate the equestrian sport. In order to raise funds, The EQUUS Foundation is seeking individuals and businesses throughout the equestrian and Palm Beach communities to assist with their gracious generosity. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Tables of eight are available as follows: Gold: $5,000, Silver: $3,500 and Bronze: $2,500. Individual seats are $150 per person.
