Appalachian Trail Hikers Visit Maine Charity on Last Leg of their Journey

WESTPORT, CT - September 19, 2014 - Now in the final leg of their journey, Lauren Davis and Nate Kramer, the two hikers who are Hoofin' It for Horse and Healing, took time out to visit Riding To The Top (RTT) in Windham, Maine.

Lauren and Nate travelled more than 2-1/2 hours away from the trail to make the visit. They wanted to visit another equine charity before entering into the 100 Mile Wilderness, which as the name implies is a long remote stretch of trail. "What great people and so kind of them to visit us, especially when they are so close to the end," said Sarah Bronson, RTT's Executive Director.

Almost at the Finish Line! Lauren and Nathan set out on their journey of a lifetime on April 9 to hike the Appalachian Trail to make a positive impact on their lives and to contribute to their passion - the welfare of horses and their powerful bond with people. Lauren and Nathan are using their own funds and resources to support themselves along the trail. EQUUS Foundation Corporate Partner Ariat International provided the hikers with needed attire.
