Selfies, Champagne & Sunshine Empower Horses & the EQUUS Foundation

On Saturday, June 25th, guests attending the EQUUS Foundation Benefit Luncheon during the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show rallied for horse welfare while enjoying champagne, sunshine & some selfies too! Held in association with the $30,000 Fairfield Grand Prix presented by Wells Fargo Advisors LLC and George N. Venizelos, the luncheon was once again an afternoon not to be missed in Fairfield County.

The luncheon also featured a silent auction with over 75 items. For the 2nd year in a row, all of the bidding took place online allowing horse lovers both near and far to vie for the variety of items all for a great cause!

Luncheon guests were surprised with a last minute live auction for 2 tickets to the July 12th performance of Hamilton on Broadway. Thanks to Chris Greer, a friend of the Foundation, for jumping in to serve as the auctioneer, the tickets went for the high bid of $5,000.

With this generous donation of $5,000, an additional five horses will be provided with the rescue, rehab, retraining and re-homing they so desperately need. Every dollar makes a difference in the Foundation's effort to make the United States a better and happier place for horses, especially for the over 200,000 currently designated as unwanted.
