Action Packed Competition & Events Coming Up at the Fairfield June Horse Show

WESTPORT, CT - June 11, 2012 - The Fairfield County Hunt Club June Horse Show starting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, is packed full with over 250 individual equestrian competitions over the course of the five-day show, and is a great family activity. With free admission and free parking all week, the public is welcome to come watch national and local equestrians of all ages compete, shop at over 20 boutiques onsite, and take advantage of the full service, gourmet food and beverage concession offering refreshments, breakfast, lunch, dinner each day. Bring your picnic blankets!

New this year, Nestlè Waters North America is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with free pony rides, face painting, a horseless horse show and crafts by Mix and Mingle.

The show benefits The EQUUS Foundation, a national charitable foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life of horses, fostering the use of horses to benefit people, and educating the public on the horse's unique ability to empower, teach and heal.

The EQUUS Foundation will hold its benefit luncheon in association with the Saturday $25,000 Fairfield Grand Prix, the culminating event of the show, presented by Wells Fargo Advisors and George N. Venizelos.

Complimentary bleecher seating is available for the Grand Prix starting at 1:30 p.m., or enjoy ringside seating in the VIP Tent starting at 11:30 am including a champagne reception, silent auction & delicious luncheon at $250 per person; Advance purchase is required.

Busy on Saturday? Come Thursday . . . In addition to the complimentary bleecher seating, seating in the VIP Tent will be available Tuesday through Friday for $20 per person on a first-come, first served basis. Admission will be by wrist band to be purchased at the show. On Thursday, the featured event will be the $7,500 Poland Spring Welcome Jumper Stake presented by Nestlè Waters North America at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Wine & Cheese Party until 6:00 p.m. and a Pet Parade, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., both hosted by Earth Animal. Calling all pet owners, come show your dog, cat, feret, parakeet, or hampster. All pets welcome. Prizes will be awarded.
