"I have loved and have been obsessed with horses since I could walk! As a child I rang up a $300 phone bill - and we’re talking many decades ago - trying to call all the Elizabeth Taylor's in the California phone book, because I was so obsessed with the movie NATIONAL VELVET and her horse The Pie! My parents almost fainted - that was a huge phone bill back then!

Growing up, I would sit on a neighbor's split rail fence and pretend I was petting my own horse in the air! People driving by thought I was off my rocker, but I knew one day that dream would become a reality and now I have my own beloved horses in my backyard where I can sit on my split rail fence and pet them for REAL!

I am so honored to be an EQUUS Foundation EQUUStar to help shine a light on all steeds in need! Together, with this organization, we are making a difference to raise awareness and educate people about the joys of rescuing and rehoming these majestic animals.
