Congress designated December 13 as the National Day of the Horse in 2004 to celebrate the cultural, historic, and economic contributions that horses have made and continue to make.

Thanks to EQUUS Foundation Equine Ambassador, Lafitte De Muze, and his owner, Cheryl Olsten, his rider, Amanda Steege, and his caregiver, Tim Delovich, the EQUUS Foundation Guardian charity you select will receive 100% of your donation of $500 or less made on the National Day of the Horse, December 13, and a matching donation for as long as the $35,000 in matching funds are available.

To allow more charities to benefit from the matching funds, for donations over $500, the charity will receive 100% of your donation, but only $500 of the donation will be matched for as long as the $35,000 in matching funds are available
