EQUUS Equestrian Idol on February 12th – Great Entertainment, Great Food and Great Shopping!

WESTPORT, CT – February 3, 2010 – Just two weeks away, the Equestrian Idol event on Friday, February 12, 2010, presented by Foundation Farm to benefit The EQUUS Foundation, boasts great entertainment, great food, and great shopping. The performers - Dianna Bricker, Heather Caristo, Hillary Dobbs, Casey Hodges, Ramsey Janney, Jordan LaPlaca, Brian Lookabill, Colton Mason, and Rick Rockefeller-Silvia, along with Ki-Juan Minors and Jen White Kane, the 2008 and 2009 Idols – are rehearsing. The judges – Margie Goldstein-Engle, Leslie Howard, and Frank Madden – are ready.

Guests will be treated to a delicious buffet by Aaron’s Catering of Wellington in the magnificent Grand Marquee Tent at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Guests will also enjoy shopping for items donated by generous individuals, national and local retailers, and vendors from the Winter Equestrian Festival. There’s something for everyone - clothing, jewelry, accessories, artwork, and many other desirable items for horse and rider.

You can learn to play polo this season on the world class fields of the International Polo Club. This package, donated by The International Polo Club Palm Beach and valued at $3,000, includes Polo Lessons and Practice Games culminating with a Final Tournament, Saturday night Cocktail Reception, Sunday Brunch and attendance at the Sunday Polo Match. Beginners and all skill levels are welcome.

Located in Wellington and Jupiter, Floor Specialists is donating a four-hour Deep Sea Fishing Outing (or cruise along the Inter-Coastal waterway – your choice). The fully captained 46-foot Bertram will depart from its berth at the Blowing Rocks Marina in Jupiter, Florida for an exciting morning or afternoon on the water.

Tiffany & Co. in Palm Beach Gardens is offering a selection of their exclusive jewelry, including a Paloma Picasso Sterling Silver Zellige Medallion medium pendant on a silk cord, a Sterling silver Return to Tiffany Heart tag necklace and bracelet, a Sterling silver Crown Key, and Sterling Silver large bead pendant on a 20” chain. An anonymous donor is offering a 93 CTS magnificent Beryl Aquamarine, appraised at $9,450.

Rick Raphael Photography is offering a complimentary Classic Equestrian Portrait session and canvas print of any size to fit the room in which it is displayed. If the winning bid is more than $1,800, they will also donate 10% of all commissions received during their stay in Wellington between February 12 and March 3, 2010 to The EQUUS Foundation in the name of the winning bidder.

Philip Levine of Companion Dogs is donating a one-day intensive training session. Philip, with his dogs, Esther and Ida, uses innovative techniques to train your dog based on the dog’s natural social instincts.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show is offering an exclusive hospitality package that includes four VIP Tent wristband passes valid for the Hampton Classic Horse Show, Tuesday-Sunday, August 31-September 5, 2010, (six days including Sunday's Grand Prix). Last but not least, whether or not you attend the event, you can pick your favorite performer to win online for a $20 donation. If the judges select your pick, you will receive 50% of the donations collected split among all who selected the winner. You do not have to be present to win.
