Best Course Competition Launches at Washington
Five More Sign On - Alltech, Buffalo, Devon, Fairfield and Ox Ridge!

WESTPORT, CT - December 9, 2013 - The Best Course Gives Back to the Horse! There isn't any equestrian who would disagree - which is why the EQUUS Foundation and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) have jointly established the new Best Course Competition - open to all USEF Licensed Competitions and their competitors.

Best Course Competition

It's A Win Win!

The new program utilizes competition itself to benefit horse welfare. Horse shows participate by:
• offering the Best Course of the Day class at their competitions,
• encouraging their competitors to compete in the class and
• donating the class proceeds to the EQUUS Foundation. 100% of the class proceeds are used for horse welfare.

Open to Juniors, Amateurs & Professionals in All Divisions!

The judge will select the winner from among the competitors (junior, amateur or professional) wearing the official Best Course Competition Armband while competing in any division at the participating competition. The winner is the judge's favorite and most memorable performance.

USEF Licensed Competitions that sign up as Best Course Competitions, along with the winners of the Best Course of the Day, will be recognized by both the EQUUS Foundation and the United States Equestrian Federation.
