Bourbon was retired and donated to us by his racing owner/trainer due to a tendon injury after a long and successful racing career. He came to us in excellent condition and has since healed from the tendon injury. He has an osselot on his front ankle, and we have recent radiographs. This big, beautiful gelding, Bourbon, has an overall kind and calm demeanor. His last race was in 10/2024. Bourbon has been started under saddle, and we are continuously impressed with how easy-going he is; his canter is so comfortable, you could sit there all day long! Since this boy had a long racing career, we have been giving him the time he needed to settle into a routine and assess his needs. He has been in training/under evaluation, but is currently rehabbing.
