Hey! Dobbs is a delightful sturdy registered American Morgan Horse who has been part of our organization since he was 4 years old - and he is now in his 20's. He primarily teaches our more advanced students, some who can how ride without leaders or side walkers, because of his patient and steady nature. He also serves our PARA equestrian athletes and they are so PROUD to train with him! Hey! Dobbs is a kind, handsome, gentle but athletic horse that is adored by everyone that gets to know him.
He has a metabolic issue which makes it difficult to offer treats even though he so deserves them. Hey! Dobbs also has a lot of allergies. For example, a simple mosquito bite swells to the size of a tangerine and renders him itchy and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, most insect repellants create an allergic reaction and give him a rash. Platinum Performance Products would benefit him in so many ways, particularly Platinum Performance® CJ and/or Platinum Skin & Allergy. It would be delightful to reward this amazing horse with better nutritional support as he ages and allow him greater comfort during insect season! Relationship of Nominator to Nominee
I am executive director of Therapeutic Riding, Inc. and was intrigued by this horse because of his stable name, "Hey! Dobbs" It seemed like such a homely name for such a beautiful horse - and such a deviation from his proper name, "Equinox Declaration". -- Tammera Bollman
