Nature's Edge Therapy Center
I am nominating Misty for the Platinum Performance Horse Welfare Award because of her fantastic temperament and wonderful work as a therapy horse. Misty was born here at Nature’s Edge and has been used for showing, both WSCA shows and 4H, hippotherapy and therapeutic riding. Misty is a very calm, steady, level-headed mare. She is loved by everyone here at Nature’s Edge and is one of the favorites due to her loving and calm personality and temperament. I believe Misty would benefit from Platinum Performance products greatly. Misty is one of the main therapy horses so she is still very active day to day. Due to this, we like to help her with joint, hoof, and digestive supplements to ensure she is still healthy and feeling her best.
Relationship of Nominator to Nominee
I am the barn manager of Nature’s Edge Therapy Center. I came to know Misty back in 2013 when I first started as a volunteer at Nature’s Edge before moving into the barn manager position. As the barn manager, I am in charge of the care of Misty. This includes feeding, scheduling vet, farrier, chiropractic, exercising, and general daily care. -- Cassandra Niederhauser
