Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:The Therapeutic Horsemanship program is conducted on campus at the SUNY Cobleskill Equine Center, a College of Agriculture and Technology with a degree program in Therapeutic Horsemanship. College students enrolled in the Therapeutic Horsemanship program receive course work in equine assisted activities and therapy, therapeutic riding instruction and ground programming, in a hands-on, client-based setting with the opportunity to interact with community volunteers, parents, teachers, therapists and clients, including young children, at-risk adolescents, adults with special needs, and Veterans. Students are involved in every aspect of the program and participate on all levels. Participants involved are from the local community and benefit from their involvement in the program.
