Elliott is a captive bred/born mustang who came to AAE in summer 2022. He had been rescued by a family from a backyard breeder, but he needed more medical help than they could offer. Elliott was born with a congenital abnormality - he had a sheath, but his penis was trapped inside, and he was unable to drop to urinate freely. Instead, urine built up in his sheath and dribbled out through a small hole, scalding surrounding skin areas.
     
     Once at AAE, he had surgery and the missing part was found! After healing from the first surgery, he had a second surgery for castration (he was also a bilateral cryptorchid).
     
     Elliott was adopted by Phyllis & Bryce and has three new equine friends of his own. This sweet guy has come a long way, and he has an incredibly bright future ahead. He will be living between his mountain home and his coastal home. Elliott has started training, and he will become a riding horse for his new dad.
