Freedom Hill Horse Rescue was contacted by a family that had recently lost the matriarch of their family, and she had owned a horse for 29 years. The gelding had been at the same farm his entire life and was going to be turning 30 soon. The family did not know what to do for this horse.

Freedom Hill took him in and gave him lots of love and attention. It only took him about a week to settle in at our facility. We thought it would take him a lot longer. Our volunteers and our guests provided grooming sessions and he even received massages. He bonded with two of our rescue mares and we believe he has his own little herd.

He may not have a whole lot of time left but he will experience a lot of love during his later years.
