Congress designated December 13th as the National Day of the Horse in 2004 to celebrate the cultural, historic, and economic contributions that horses have made and continue to make.

Thanks to EQUUS Foundation Equine Ambassador, Lafitte De Muze, his rider, Amanda Steege, and his owner, Cheryl Olsten, donations of $500 or less made on December 13 to the EQUUS Foundation will be matched up to $20,000.

Donors may designate their donations to an EQUUS Foundation Guardian -- charities that uphold the highest standards of care and demonstrate a commitment to public transparency that ensures your donor dollars will be used for the greatest good.
